Ameen came to Longley Way Elementary School to fix an issue with the door system. Vanessa just finished her long term substitute assignment and decided last moment to accept a work assignment in the Longley Way office. As fate would have it, they ran into each other. Shy and reserved, Monica introduced one another. Vanessa and Ameen bonded over being only children, the importance of family, and being proud descendants of immigrants with their own unique cultural heritage. Vanessa was proud of her Japanese-Mexican and Ameen of his Indo-Islamic heritage. Both knew the other had unique qualities that they were looking for in a life partner. By the will and grace of God and the constant love and support of their community, they prepare for the next chapter of their life together. As Grandma Lois used to say, “ I know God has a plan for you.”
To respect the sanctity of the mosque, we ask you to wear either a long skirt or pants and to avoid low necklines. Please feel free to wear your shoes inside the building of the mosque. We request that upon arrival at the carpeted prayer area, you remove your shoes and place them in the cubby. Please be mindful that worshippers pray with their faces on the floor.
We invite you to join us in a traditional or Western outfit of your choice with natural and pastel colors to add softness and elegance to our celebration.

Parking information
Please feel free to park anywhere on Via Sorella. Please make your way to the entrance which is below the bronze dome. Once inside the prayer hall, we ask for women to sit on the right and men to sit on the left side of the room.

Parking information and Entrance
Parking is available anywhere on 1st Avenue or Diamond Street. The main entrance is on 1st Avenue through the small gate onto the lawn. Vanessa and Ameen will be walking through this gate.
